AURORA SNOWMOBILE SAFARI

Preliminary Information for Finland's Autumn-Winter Season 2026/2027
The Northern Lights season begins in the Inari and Hotel Korpikartano areas during the last week of August and lasts until April 12th. After this date, the nights become too bright for Aurora viewing.
The Northern Lights are visible on average 200 days a year, depending on solar activity and weather conditions. Hotel Korpikartano is an ideal location for viewing the Northern Lights, as the area is entirely free of street lights and other bright artificial light sources, ensuring zero light pollution.
Our guides will provide you with the best tips for photographing the Northern Lights. A small traditional hut (kota) also offers a warm shelter for avid Aurora hunters while waiting for the lights to appear.
Snowmobile Safaris and Aurora Snowmobile Safaris
Welcome to Finland and Lapland for the Winter Season 2026–2027! ❄️💙
Hotel Korpikartano’s snowmobile safaris take you into the beautiful Lappish winter nature around Lake Menesjärvi. The daytime snowmobile safari offers a chance to explore the surrounding wilderness further away from the hotel. The evening snowmobile safari focuses on hunting for the Northern Lights, taking you to the premier spots for Aurora watching.
At Hotel Korpikartano, you can experience the beauty of nature within quiet and cozy accommodations overlooking Lake Menesjärvi. We offer hotel rooms and studios with private kitchens across two separate buildings, featuring a total of 28 rooms.
Hotel Korpikartano is located in Menesjärvi, a small Sámi village in Finnish Lapland. The larger village of Inari, known as the center of Finnish Sámi culture, is just a 30-minute drive away. Until 2005, Korpikartano served as a local Sámi village school for children from the surrounding areas, and in 2009, it opened its doors to guests.
Welcome to the luxury of nature and silence!
